Tips on Travel to Varadero Cuba

Making the decision to take a holiday in Varadero, Cuba is one that you aren't going to forget, probably for the rest of your life. Varadero is quickly becoming one of Cuba's finest tourist attractions and for good reason. But, before you purchase your tickets and make the hotel reservations, you should understand that Varadero isn't going to be the type of beach resort tourist attraction are thinking of or that you may be used to. There are shops, night clubs, and hotels that are spread throughout the primary resort area, but for the most part, the masses don't flock to Cuba the way they do to the bigger Caribbean resort destinations that cruise lines port at.

Cuba is still developing a travel industry after years of being essentially closed off for most tourists. And while Americans are still restricted from visiting Cuba for tourism in most cases, Canadians and Europeans have been coming to Cuba more and more as resort destinations like Varadero have developed. Now there are resorts in Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo, and Cayo Santa Maria just to name a few other tourist destinations.

Most travelers are still coming to Varadero and they come to experience the beautiful miles of white sand beaches, and crystal clear water. For you water sports lovers, you are going to be pleased that Varadero is one of the finest places in Cuba for scuba diving, boating, and fishing. There are guides readily available that will help you get into whatever it is that will help you enjoy your vacation. There are a few clubs and marinas that have services available for just about every type of water sport you can imagine.

On the eastern part of Varadero, you will find the upscale and luxury hotels, which, if you are planning to stay for a couple of days or even longer, we highly suggest you looking into. Cuba is inexpensive overall compared to other tropical or Caribbean destinations and the difference between a cheap Varadero hotels and a nicer resort is not enough to sacrifice your overall vacation experience. And your overall experience will definitely be enhanced by a clean resort facility, excellent service, and good food. And these are not always a given with the cheaper hotels.

There is one main road that connects the three distinct districts of the city, but for the most part, you can get all the enjoyment you need from the hotel you choose. If you do enjoy a bit more excitement though, the center district is where you're going to be able to find the best night clubs and dancing, as well as the highest population of people.
